Standard Booking Conditions

Last Updated: August 20, 2025

The booking conditions in effect at the time of your reservation will apply to your trip. Before booking with Seekwego (Guangzhou Chuhai International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. trading as Seekwego, seekwego.com), we kindly ask you to read these conditions carefully, as they outline your legal rights and responsibilities.

We also encourage you to review the Trip Information on our website so that you are familiar with the itinerary, travel style, and physical requirements of your chosen trip.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at contact@seekwego.com.

1. Our Contract

Your booking contract is with Seekwego (Guangzhou Chuhai International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. trading as Seekwego, seekwego.com). By booking a trip with us, you agree to be bound by these Booking Conditions, together with the Tour Information relating to your chosen trip. These documents form the entire agreement between you and us.

Your booking will be accepted on this basis, and the services we provide are those set out in your booking confirmation invoice. In these Booking Conditions, the terms “you” and “your” refer to the lead traveler named in the booking, as well as all other travelers included in the same booking or subsequently added to it.

If another person makes a booking on your behalf, you authorize that person to make amendments or cancellations for you. Likewise, if you make a booking on behalf of another traveler, you confirm that you have informed them of these Booking Conditions and the Tour Information prior to completing the booking.

2. Privacy Policy

Any personal information we collect from you will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you provide us with personal information about another person (for example, when booking on behalf of a group, requesting visa assistance for others, or providing emergency contact details), you confirm that you have informed those individuals, ensured they have reviewed our Privacy Policy, and obtained their consent for you to act on their behalf.

We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy regularly to remain informed about any updates or changes, as it forms part of these Booking Conditions.

3. Deposit Requirement

For certain travel products, a deposit of 30% of the total trip price is required at the time of booking. Where a deposit is applicable, this will be clearly indicated in the product information provided on our website.

For bookings made within 24 hours prior to departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Deposit amounts may vary for specific trips or promotional campaigns. Any such variations will always be clearly stated at the time of booking.

4. Acceptance of Booking and Final Payments

Once your booking is accepted, we will issue a booking confirmation invoice. A contract between you and us is established on the date we send this confirmation. For bookings made within 24 hours of departure, the contract is established upon acceptance of your full payment.

For bookings where a Deposit has been paid, the remaining balance of the total trip price (excluding the 30% deposit already received) must be paid no later than 24 hours before the departure date. For bookings where no deposit is required, the full trip price must also be paid no later than 24 hours before the departure date.

If the required payment is not received by the specified deadline, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled. In such cases, the cancellation conditions outlined in Clause 7 (Cancellation by You) will apply.

5. Prices

Trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing, which is standard practice in the travel industry. Prices may change at any time depending on demand, market conditions, and availability. This means that different travelers on the same trip may pay different prices. If you are satisfied with the price offered, we recommend confirming your booking without delay.

Any discounts or reduced pricing that become available after your booking is confirmed will not apply to your reservation. If you choose to cancel your booking in order to rebook at a lower price, the cancellation conditions outlined in Clause 7 (Cancellation by You) will apply.

The most up-to-date pricing is always available on our website. All prices are based on prevailing currency exchange rates and may vary depending on the currency used for the booking. While we make every effort to ensure that the information on our website is accurate, errors may occasionally occur. In such cases, we reserve the right to correct any pricing or detail errors prior to issuing your booking confirmation invoice.

6. Your Details

To confirm your travel arrangements, you must provide all required personal information at the time of paying the balance of your trip. Such details may include, but are not limited to: your full name as shown in your passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry dates, contact information (including email address, phone number, and instant messaging account), as well as any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to travel.

For certain trips with higher physical demands, you may also be required to complete a Self-Assessment Form, which will be provided by our sales team. For information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

7. Cancellation by You

If you wish to cancel your booking, the cancellation will only take effect once we have received your written confirmation.

For bookings that do not require a deposit, cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure will be free of charge, and all payments will be fully refunded.

For bookings that require a deposit, please note that the 30 percent deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure, the remaining balance (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled departure are not refundable. In addition, no refunds will be provided if you fail to join the trip, arrive late and miss the departure, or choose to leave before the trip is completed.

8. Cancellation by Us

Our trips are generally guaranteed to depart once at least one customer has made full payment, unless a minimum group size is specified for the trip. Any such minimum group size requirement will be clearly stated on the relevant trip page or on our website. Please note that in rare circumstances we may cancel a trip if the minimum group size is not met, or if external factors such as severe weather, natural disasters, or other operational reasons make it unsafe or impracticable to operate the trip.

If we cancel your trip for reasons other than a Force Majeure Event (as defined in Clause 9), you will have the choice to either transfer the amounts paid to an alternative departure date or receive a full refund of payments made.

If the cancellation is due to a Force Majeure Event, refunds or alternatives may not be available, but we will make reasonable efforts to offer suitable options where possible.

9. Cancellations due to Force Majeure

In addition to the rights outlined above, we may cancel a trip if a Force Majeure Event occurs at or near your travel destination and significantly impacts the trip itself or the transport arrangements required to reach it. If a trip is cancelled prior to departure due to a Force Majeure Event, you may choose either to receive a credit equal to 100 percent of the amount paid or a refund less any unrecoverable costs. If a trip is cancelled after it has commenced, you may receive either a credit equal to 100 percent of the unused portion of the trip or a refund less any unrecoverable costs related to the unused portion.

A Force Majeure Event refers to any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the parties, whether or not foreseeable, that makes it unsafe or impractical for a trip to commence or continue. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, riots, blockades, fire, explosion, mechanical breakdown, labor disputes, earthquakes, epidemics, pandemics, public health emergencies, floods, extreme weather, supplier failures, or actions by government authorities.

In the event of a cancellation caused by a Force Majeure Event, neither party shall be entitled to claim damages against the other. We will not be liable for any incidental expenses you may have incurred in connection with your booking, including, but not limited to, costs related to visas, vaccinations, insurance excess, or non-refundable flights.

10. Booking Amendments

Any changes to a confirmed booking — including modifications to the itinerary, travel dates, traveler details, or pick-up and drop-off locations — are considered amendments. Amendments will only be accepted if operationally feasible, and in the case of transferring the booking to another traveler, the new traveler must satisfy all eligibility and trip requirements. Additional fees may apply, including any charges imposed by third-party service providers such as hotels or transport operators. Please note that amendments are not permitted within 24 hours of the scheduled departure.

11. Inclusions and Exclusions

The specific services and items included in your trip are detailed on the product page of each travel service, and may vary depending on the product or option selected. Please review the product page carefully to understand exactly what is included, and feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions. At the time of booking confirmation, we will also reconfirm the inclusions of your purchase. Only the services and items expressly stated as included form part of your trip price. Any services, activities, or expenses not specifically described as included will be excluded and will be at your own cost.

12. Age and Health Requirements

There is no specific age limit for participation in our trips; however, travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or an adult over 18 who has been duly authorized by the guardian. The accompanying adult will be responsible for the minor’s care throughout the trip.

Each trip may have suggested health and fitness requirements, which will be indicated in the product information. Travelers aged 60 and above are required to evaluate their own health condition before departure and complete a health declaration form. These measures are designed to support the safety, comfort, and well-being of all participants.

13. Additional Terms

For certain trips, you may be required to complete a supplemental waiver, declaration, or release form, either requested by us or by third-party service providers involved in delivering your trip. Copies of such documents are available to you in advance upon request.

Failure to complete the required waiver or declaration may result in your participation in the trip being denied. In the event of any inconsistency between these Booking Conditions and a supplemental waiver or declaration, these Booking Conditions shall prevail.

14. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance before the start of their trip. Your policy should ideally provide coverage for personal accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, trip cancellation or curtailment, personal liability, and the loss of luggage or personal belongings.

If you purchase travel insurance, please ensure that you have a copy of your policy details and the insurer’s 24-hour emergency contact information with you throughout the trip.

15. Change of Itinerary

You acknowledge that travel inherently requires flexibility, and the itinerary provided for each trip is intended as a general guide to the planned activities and services. Routes, schedules, accommodations, and modes of transport may be adjusted without prior notice due to local conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

We will make every reasonable effort to operate trips as described. However, we reserve the right to make changes before or during your trip. If a significant change occurs before departure, we will notify you as soon as possible. In such cases, you may choose to accept the change and any related costs, receive a refund for the land portion of your trip, or transfer to an alternative trip offered by us.

After departure, itineraries may also be adjusted due to local conditions or Force Majeure Events (as defined in Clause 9). Any additional costs arising from such necessary changes will be your responsibility. We are not liable for incidental expenses you may incur as a result of itinerary modifications, including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights.

16. Authority on Tour

Our trips may be led by group leaders, local representatives, crew members, or skippers (collectively referred to as “Leaders”). The decisions of the Leader are final in all matters relating to the safety and well-being of travelers and staff, as well as the smooth operation of the trip.

If you fail to follow the Leader’s reasonable instructions, disrupt the group, or compromise the operation of the trip, you may be required to leave the trip immediately and at your own expense, with no refund provided. In such circumstances, we also reserve the right to decline your participation in any future trips.

You are required to comply at all times with the laws, customs, and regulations of the countries you visit, including rules relating to currency exchange and prohibited substances. You also agree to conduct yourself responsibly and respectfully toward others, ensuring a positive travel experience for all participants.

17. Acceptance of Risk

You acknowledge that participation in our trips may involve certain inherent risks. Some destinations may present political, cultural, or geographical challenges beyond those encountered in daily life. Travel may also involve health-related risks, including exposure to infectious diseases.

We will take all reasonable steps to support your safety and well-being, and you may be required to follow specific safety protocols during the trip. While we rely on government advisories and local contacts to assess the viability of each itinerary, it remains your responsibility to review relevant travel information, including health and safety recommendations, before and during your trip.

By confirming your booking, you accept these risks and agree that your decision to travel is made with full awareness of them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or consequences that may arise from such risks.

18. Optional Activities

Optional activities not included in the trip price are not part of your booking contract with us. Any information, advice, or assistance provided by our staff, group leaders, or local representatives in arranging such activities is offered in good faith, but does not make us responsible or liable in any way. The contract for any optional activity will be solely between you and the independent service provider.

19. Claims and Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint during your trip, please notify your group leader or our local representative immediately so that we have the opportunity to resolve the issue on the spot. If your concern cannot be resolved locally to your satisfaction, you may submit a written complaint to us within 30 days of the end of your trip, using the contact information provided on our website. We will review and respond as promptly and fairly as possible.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Booking Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision will be deemed removed or amended only to the extent necessary to ensure enforceability. All remaining terms and conditions will continue to be valid, binding, and enforceable.

21. Applicable Law

These Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of
China. Nothing in these Booking Conditions affects your rights as a consumer to rely on any mandatory local laws that apply.

22. Assignment and Registered Address

We may assign or transfer any of our rights or obligations under these Booking Conditions at our discretion, with written notice to you, which may include notice provided via our website.

23. Booking Entity

All bookings are made directly with
Seekwego. If you book through a third-party travel agent, your booking will still be deemed to be made with Seekwego.

24. Promotional Terms

From time to time, we may offer promotions or special deals on our website. These promotions are subject to both these Booking Conditions and any additional promotion-specific terms, which will be clearly stated and form part of these Booking Conditions.
Promotions are available only for the limited period indicated on our website. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw any promotion at our discretion. By purchasing a trip under a promotion, you agree to the terms that apply to that promotion. In the event of any inconsistency between these Booking Conditions and the terms of a promotion, the promotion terms will take precedence for that booking. All promotions are non-transferable and cannot be combined with other discounts unless expressly stated.
